Antibody drug conjugates
Antibody drug conjugates are a novel class of therapeutic proteins that combine the desirable properties of monoclonal antibodies with the cell killing activity of cytotoxic drugs, reducing systemic toxicity and increasing the therapeutic benefit for patients.
At Philochem we believe that bio-orthogonal reactions that modify proteins at specific sites using cleavable linkages are essential for the development of antibody-drug conjugates. We have developed proprietary traceless site-specific linkage technologies to conjugate novel Philochem’s drugs to Philochem’s human monoclonal antibodies that have progressed to advanced clinical trials.

Schematic representation of antibody-drug conjugate effect: Long residence time of specific antibodies on the tumor neo-vasculature is ideally suited for a slow release of a potent cytotoxic drug by virtue ofjudiciously chosen linker lability, leading to drug-indiced cell death. |
