Eveline Bordoli-Trachsel, born 15th September 1976, studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. After a 4-months internship in the GMP production of antibodies at Philogen S.p.A. in Siena, Italy, she worked with Prof. Dr. Dario Neri on ligand-based targeting of inflammatory diseases. She earned her PhD in 2006 for which she has been awarded the GSIA prize 2007 and the 2nd prize in the DSM Award (South) 2007.Eveline Trachsel is a co-author of more than 20 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and she served as a member of the ethical commitee of the Canton of Aargau. Currently, Eveline Bordoli-Trachsel is a consultant to Philochem and is mainly involved in medical and scientific writing activities.

Dario Neri is a Founder of Philogen and of Philochem, and Full Professor of Biomacromolecules at the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland.

Born in Rome (Italy) on 1st May 1963, Dario Neri studied at the Liceo Classico E.S. Piccolomini in Siena and Chemistry at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, graduating in 1987 with a thesis on the synthesis and characterization of complex polyunsaturated secondary metabolites, isolated from higher plants. In 1992, he earned his doctorate in chemistry under Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics of the ETH Zurich. His dissertation was awarded the ETH Zurich silver medal. With an EU Bridge Bursary, he spent four years at the Cambridge Centre for Protein Engineering, Medical Research Council, where he worked under the supervision of Sir Gregory Winter. He has now been a Professor at the ETH Zurich since 1996. Dario Neri has published over 190 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is inventor in numerous patents. He is the recipient of the ISOBM Abbott Prize 2000, of the Amgen-Dompe’ Biotec Award 2000, of the Mangia d’Oro 2001, of the Prous Award 2006 of the European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry, of the Robert-Wenner-Prize 2007 of the Swiss Cancer League and of the SWISS BRIDGE Award 2008. Award of Societe de Chimie Therapeutique.

Jörg Scheuermann, born 16th April 1970 in Mannheim, Germany, received a BS degree in chemistry from the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg/Germany and a MS degree in chemistry from the ETH Zurich where he performed his master thesis in the field of non-standard DNA bases under the supervision of Prof. Steven A. Benner. For his PhD studies he joined the laboratory of Prof. Dario Neri where he worked on the isolation of novel low-molecular weight binding molecules and high-affinity antibodies to the EDB domain of fibronectin, a marker of angiogenesis. He continued to work with Prof. Neri first as a postdoctoral fellow, now as permanent scientific employee and habilitand in the development of DNA-encoded chemical library technology, most specifically on the development of ESAC (Encoded Self-Assembling Chemical) library technology and its application in drug discovery and development. Since 2007, he is Consultant of Philochem AG (Zürich, Switzerland) in the field of DNA encoded chemistry.

Cornelia Halin Winter, born on 4th of October 1974 in Zurich, Switzerland, studied biochemistry at ETH Zurich (1993 – 1998). After obtaining her diploma, she spent 6 months working as an intern in the Department of Molecular Oncology at Genentech Inc., San Francisco, USA. From 1999 – 2002 she performed her PhD thesis in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Dario Neri at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of ETH Zurich, working on immunocytokines and targeted tumor therapy. Her dissertation was awarded the ETH Zurich Silver Medal. From 2002 -2005, Cornelia Halin Winter performed a post-doc in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Ulrich von Andrian at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, working in the field of leukocyte trafficking. In 2005 she returned to the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of ETH Zurich to work as a post-doc and group leader in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Michael Detmar in the field of lymphatic vessel biology. In June 2008 she received an appointment as Assistant Professor at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on leukocyte migration and vascular biology in the context of inflammation and tumor growth. Since September 2011 Cornelia Halin Winter is a consultant for Philochem AG (Zurich, Switzerland) in the field of immunocytokines
